Ronald S. "Captain Ron" Koch, 76, of Waterloo, IL, died August 31, 2019, in Red Bud, IL. He was born October 14, 1942, in E. St. Louis, IL.


He is survived by his wife Barbara J. Koch (nee Atkinson); children Robert Koch, Regina (Mike Winschel) Jennings, Rhonda (John) Hanegan, Debra (Jim) Koch, John (Juanita) Roland III, William (Kim) Roland, Robert Roland, Dawn (Jay) Leber, Connie (Steve) Few, Chris (Heather) Roland, Barb (Eric) Berning; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother James (Debra) Koch; sisters Nancy (Richard) Muertz and Donna (Al) Michels; nieces; nephews; and cousins.


He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Dorothy (nee Goodmann) Koch; granddaughter Melissa Mitchell, grandson Adam Roland; and step father Robert Kolmer.


Ronald was retired from Labor Local 196 - Waterloo, US Navy Veteran (served on USS Kitty Hawk), a member of Valmeyer American Legion.
