Allan J. McCarthy, 83, of Waterloo, IL, died February 10, 2021, in Waterloo, IL. He was born May 25, 1937, in St. Louis, MO.

He is survived by his children Deborah (Daniel Lewis) McCarthy and Allison (Kevin) Washausen; grandchildren Paige (fiancé Brandon Edwards) and Jacob Washausen; sisters and brother Joan (Thomas) Smith, Patrick (Jane) McCarthy, and Gertie (Bob) Eshom; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; neices; nephews; and cousins.

Allan was preceded in death by his wife Irene M. McCarthy nee Schilling; parents Daniel C. & Hazel C. (nee Ruby) McCarthy.

He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Church-Waterloo; Waterloo Knights of Columbus Council #1334; avid Gibault basketball fan; retired from Federal Reserve Bank.
