Alvera E. "Petty" Moffitt, 88, of Waterloo, IL, died September 27, 2016, in Waterloo, IL. She was born September 18, 1928, in Waterloo, IL.

    She is survived by her brother Robert (Jane) Moffitt; sister-in-law Marcella Moffitt; nieces Donna (Steve) Nason, Connie (Terry) Werkmann, & Chandra (Kevin) Kergenroeder; great nieces; great nephews; & cousins.

    She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Dorothy Moffitt, Florence Ruby, & Dolores McGuire; brothers Wallace, Harold, & Vernon Moffitt; & nephew David Moffitt.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: 
American Cancer Society

Dan and I were very sorry to hear of Alvera's passing.. She was such a wonderful woman. We loved her treats at Christmas.. Always made Danny's day. He so loved her candy coated pretzels.. We will always have her in our hearts and send our love and condolences to all her family and friends! RIP Miss Moffitt....

So sorry for your loss. I have great memories of Petty. She babysat me and Jim many times. I remember her making hamburgers at the tavern and giving some to me, and Jim when we were playing with Bobby. Petty was such a kind and giving women. I know she will be missed.
