Ardell E. Dougherty

Ardell E. Dougherty, nee Schmeding, 80, of Waterloo, IL, died February 9, 2024, in Waterloo, IL. She was born November 6, 1943, in Red Bud, IL.

    She is survived by her children Kathy (Michael) Bollinger, Don Dougherty, Karla (John) Offermann, Susan (Hershel) Hitchcock, and Dennis (Jill) Dougherty; step daughters Vicki (Ed) Olsen and Patricia Dougherty; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sister Barbara Schmeding; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

    Ardell is preceded in death by her parents Arthur & Martha (nee Buettner) Schmeding; brother Homer Schmeding, and sisters Ruth Kohler and Priscilla Heimos.

    She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wartburg, IL.
