Arlin always had a smile and friendly greeting for his coworkers in Univ. of IL Extension. We traded county 4-H judging duties for a number of years. He was reliable and did a good job. He was respectful of others and kind. Sending my condolences to his family.

We have great memories of Arlin as an Extension Educator who would have the patience and knowledge to welcome new folks to a career with the University of Illinois Extension program. God's blessings to Marion and the entire Obst family!

Arlin Obst was truly one of the most outstanding Farm Advisers to ever serve in as an IL County Extension program. as a former County Adviser, i had many experiences with Arlin. He always impressed me by his way of understanding all people and being able to win them over. He was a great friend.
