Unfortunately, I never had the privilege to meet you, I feel like I know you through Suzy. She was always telling us how wonderful her parents were. You and your wife raised a beautiful girl in Suzy. I cannot tell you how proud I am of her honesty and loyalty and the goodness in her.
Rest In Peace Mr Mehrtens, You and your wife were Angels on Earth and now in Heaven

I will always remember your dad's chuckle and smile with the slight tilt of his head. He and my dad had many days together working with the levee district! Your dad was a trooper and was filled with so much love through his family. You all share his chuckle and I am sure you will all carry him forever in your heart. Prayers to all of you!
