Deborah Lynn Simpher

June 4, 1954 — September 10, 2022

Deborah Lynn "Debbie" Simpher, née Baker, 68, of Aurora, IL, formerly of Waterloo, passed away on Saturday September 10, 2022. She was born on June 4, 1954, in East St. Louis, IL, to Flossie Luella (née Colston) and John Edward Baker.

Debbie is survived by her children Denise Voelker (Reinaldo Meirelles) and Andrew (Karen) Voelker, and grandchildren Logan and Dane Voelker. Debbie is also survived by her mother Luella Baker and sisters, Regina (Darrell) Sons, Pamela Mathews and Jonna (Roger) Rickert; her Aunt Marietta (Bob) Sprague, loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband Gregory Simpher, son Eric Michael Voelker, father John Baker and brother-in-law Roger Lee Stearns Sr.

Debbie loved fishing with her grandsons, cooking/baking, knitting/crocheting (especially after figuring out Pinterest!) and planning special moments for others. She had a keen sense of humor and a loving, generous nature that will be dearly missed.
