Dennis M. Heusohn

Dennis M. "Pencil" Heusohn, 76, of Valmeyer, IL, died September 8, 2026, in Waterloo, IL. He was born August 1, 1950, in Red Bud, IL.

He is survived by his wife Penny Heusohn nee Krewer; children Denise Evans, Dawn (Tim) Brown, and Jeffrey Heusohn (fiancee Jennifer Bivins); grandchildren Audrey and Adrian Brown, Brady and Rosalie Heusohn; sister Shirley Daniels; brothers Larry (Debbie) Heusohn and Michael (Tina) Heusohn; sister-in-law Cindy Heusohn; sister-in-law Marlene Bair; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Leon "Cotton" Heusohn and Ardell Heusohn Mueller (nee Brandt); brother Dale Heusohn; brother-in-law Charles Daniels and sister-in-law Pauletta Heusohn; brother-in-law Edwin Bair.

He was a US Army Veteran (2 years)(also served in Germany); formerly employed at Monroe Service Company/Gateway FS (25 years)(delivered LP Gas)(later worked in the service station and later the manager); formerly custodian and bus driver For Valmeyer School (18 years); trustee for the Village of Valmeyer (10 years); member of the Valmeyer American Legion #901; Valmeyer Lions Club; and 40 year member of the Valmeyer Fire Department.
