Donald L. Gleiber, 87, of Waterloo, IL, died peacefully March 14, 2018, in Waterloo, IL. He was born March 26, 1930, in East St. Louis, IL.

He is survived by his daughter Donna (John) Dinkelaker; grandsons Jared (Kristin) Dinkelaker, Jacob Dinkelaker, and Tyler Dinkelaker; great grandson Henry Dinkelaker; special friend Joanne Goeddel; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy E. Gleiber (nee Moffitt) and parents Walter A. & Goldie L. (nee Fults) Gleiber.

Donald was a member of St. Paul UCC - Waterloo where he served on the Consistory, Waterloo Rotary Club, 1st National Bank of Waterloo Board of Directors, Monroe County Rural Electric Co-op Board of Directors; member of the Kaskaskia Post Authority Regional Board, Past President and Director of Illinois Petroleum Marketers Association, former trustee of Waterloo Rural Fire Protection, member of Waterloo Municipal Band for over 25 years, Columbia Sister Cities Board of Directors, and US Army Veteran. He, along with his father-in-law, Henry Moffitt, owned and operated Moffitt Oil Company.

9 AM until time of service Saturday St. Paul United Church of Christ

10 AM Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo, IL
