Elmer A. Flieger Jr.

Elmer A. Flieger Jr., 71, of Waterloo, IL, died on June 16, 2024, at home surrounded by many family members. He was born on October 31, 1952, in St. Louis. 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Colleen (nee Holmes) Flieger; his children Chris (Signe) Flieger, Sharon, MA, Andy Flieger, O'Fallon, IL, and Katie (Ben) Kalbfleisch, Waterloo, IL; grandchildren Clare, Niamh, Vera, Anna, Sully, Simon, Wilhelmina, and Will; siblings Pam Evans, Jeannie (Mike) Edwards, Stanley (Chris) Flieger, Joey Huke, Rob (Kathy), Kenny (Melissa), along with treasured in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Elmer is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Sr. and Bea Flieger. 

Elmer was born on Halloween and died on Father's Day, fitting his love of tricks and treats and family. He was defined by his generosity and work ethic. Elmer loved celebrating the details of his children's and grandchildren's lives. Living life with Elmer was fun.
