Eugene H. "Butch" Sensel, 72, of Prairie du Rocher, IL, died August 3, 2026, in St. Louis, MO. He was born December 23, 1953, in Red Bud, IL.

He is survived by his wife Helen Sensel nee Heck (married 51 years); children Wes Sensel, Mike Sensel, and Denise (Ryan) Ellner; grandchildren Samantha (Aron) Farmer, Carson (Mallory) Sensel, Claire and Conner Ellner , and Regan Sensel; great grandchildren Kayden, Charlotte, and Weston Farmer; nephews; and cousins.

Eugene is preceded in death by his parents Henry W. and Viola Sensel nee Carr.

He was a life long farmer and rural mail carrier out of Prairie du Rocher, IL.
