F. Luella Baker, nee Colston, 101, of Waterloo, IL, died May 9, 2026, in Belleville, IL, surrounded by her family. She was born July 13, 1924, in East Prairie, MO.
She is survived by her children Regina (Darrell) Sons, Pamela Mathews, and Jonna (Roger) Rickert; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; sister Marietta Sprague; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Luella is preceded in death by her husband John E. Baker; daughter Deborah Simpher; parents William Bethel and Minnie Lavenia (nee McMikle) Colston; sisters Marie Likens and Margaret Corey; brothers N.J. "Sonny" Colston, Tilman Colston, and Wesley Colston; grandson Eric Michael Voelker; sons-in-law Roger Stearns Sr. and Greg Simpher.
