Fern D. Diemert

Fern D. Diemert, 89, of Lebanon, IL, formerly of Red Bud, IL, died August 23, 2026, in Lebanon, IL. She was born April 18, 1937, in Monroe City, IL.

She is survived by her children Sally (Mike) Griffin and Laurie Phillips nee Schultheis; granddaughters Terra (Gary) Gabelman, Nicole (Jeff) Nolen, Catherine Ruhmann, and Lisa (Jason) Webb.

She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Frieda (nee Sickmeier) Diemert Sr.; siblings Verona (Joe) Krack, Janet (Gerald) Ashbaker, Roland (Joann) Diemert, Albert (Mary) Diemert Jr., Geraldine (Kenneth) Koester, and Ida Diemert.

Fern was a CNA and worked at Mushroom factory, and Singer factory in Red Bud, IL, She was also an entrepreneur, operating (Vans Illusions and Ferns Cleaning).

Fern enjoyed traveling, living a free-spirited lifestyle, and showing her Jack Russell Terriers.
