Frances E. "Eddie" Melliere, 84, of Evansville, IL, died August 15, 2026, in Evansville, IL. He was born June 20, 1942, in E. St. Louis, IL.

He is survived by his devoted, loving wife of 64 years, Marie Melliere (nee Guttmann); children Frances Eric (Sandra) Melliere, Angela Melliere, and Daniel Melliere; grandchildren Jennifer (Corey) Pearce, David (Adrieanna) Fortman, and Lyndsay (Logan) Roche; great grandchildren Colin (Sam) Ezzell, Breanna Autry, Annabelle Pierce, Freya Roche, Olivia Fortman, Natalie Fortman, and Evrhett Fortman; sisters Hedi Peters and Bette Punshon; sister-in-law Joyce Guttman; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frances E. "Pop" and Ramona (nee Bielefeld) Melliere; sisters Della May Bievenue, Margaret Schwartz; brother-in-law Robert Guttmann; and son-in-law Craig Balsiger.

Francis was a lifetime farmer and peddler. He was a member of St. Joseph Church Prairie du Rocher, IL, Prairie du Rocher Sportsman (Fort de Chartres) Club, and Farm Bureau. He was a 2nd generation Pioneer Seed Salesman and past member of ITPA Illinois tractor pulling association.
