Gary E. McMahon, 71, of Waterloo, IL, died May 2, 2023, in St. Louis, MO. He was born February 21, 1952, in E. St. Louis, IL.
He is survived by his wife Jean McMahon; children Jesse (Kristal) McMahon and Shaun (Mandy) McMahon; grandchildren Nicolaus (Sierra) McMahon, Robbie, Phoenix, Rylen, and Maia McMahon, Stephanie (Luke) Canaday, and Ryleigh Strauser; great grandchildren Sylis Bane McMahon, and Ezekeil, Elijah, and Aubrey Canaday; sister Denise Wolf; sister-in-law Marianne McMahon; and son's significant other Crystal Harris; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
He is preceded in death by a son Jeremy J. McMahon; parents Edwin & Norma (nee Thomas) McMahon; and brothers and sister Kevin McMahon, Mike (Leah) McMahon, and Patty (Eli) Elsworth.
Gary was an avid fisherman, hunter, and car enthusiast. He loved his family and was a selfless provider. Gary was a hard worker at Granite City Steel for 48 years.
No services will be held.
