Gisela "Oma" Esker

Gisela "Oma" Esker, nee Urlaub, 79, of Prairie du Rocher, IL, died November 13, 2022, in Prairie du Rocher. She was born May 6, 1943, in Kitzingen, Germany.

    She is survived by her husband Eugene H. Esker; children Susan (Roger Melching) Huebner, Barbie (Gene Mund) Esker, and Tony Gene (Ariane Keller) Esker; grandchildren Shae Huebner, Cody (Amanda) Crossin, Garrett (Brittany) Crossin, Luke (Paige) Mund, Kyle Cooley, Kennadie Wild, Kadynce Wild, Geralyn Sheridan, Weston Hawk, and Wren Esker; great grandchildren; sister Lydia Moye; brother John Schmitt; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

    Gisela is preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Lina (nee Och) Urlaub; 1 sister and 3 brothers.

    Gisela enjoyed playing slots and was known to everyone as "Oma".

    3 PM to 6 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Quernheim Funeral Home
