Gloria A. McClain


Gloria A. McClain, nee Darnell, 90, of Fults, IL, died June 17, 2020, in Sullivan, MO. She was born June 27, 1929, in Monroe County, IL.


She is survived by her children Dwayne (Debbie) McClain, Lucinda (Stephen) Birkner, Pamela LaBrot, Dennis (Alicia) McClain; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law, nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.


She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd W. McClain; parents Raymond & Dora (nee Seibert) McClain; son-in-law Curtis LaBrot; sisters & brothers.


She was a member of Hope Church - Columbia and a retired CNA at Monroe County Nursing Home.

Visitation:
10 AM to 12 Noon Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Quernheim Funeral Home
   ** Please follow all social distancing recommendations and only 10 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. We ask that you please remain outside or in your vehicles until notified.**


Private Funeral:
Pastor Darrell Jones officiating
Interment at St. John Cemetery in Fults, IL
A graveside service will be held following the private funeral. People are invited to attend while following normal social distancing guidelines.

While working for Community Care I had the opportunity to work with Gloria and her family. Condolences and prayers to her family. RiP Gloria.

I remember everytime jeff and I went to visit aunt glory she would feed the kids. When they didnt eat everything she would say that's ok honey. Jeff would be upset. He always said she would have made him eat everything on his plate.
