John A. Wedel, 62, of Belleville, IL, died July 24, 2026, in Swansea, IL. He was born April 21, 1964, in Red Bud, IL.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Wedel; step children Tammy Korves and Tabitha Henson; step grandchildren Courtney Korves, Tress Korves, and Tiffany Brown; step great grandchildren Brianna Korves, Gabriele Lee, Mirah Lee; mother Carolyn Wedel nee Schmeding; sisters Karen (Michael) Toenjes, Kathy (Steve) Marquardt, and Nicole Toal; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
John is preceded in death by his father James W. Wedel; sister Kristine Wisdom; stepson Jason Tedford and step great grandson Zachary Brown.
He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church - Wartburg.
