Joshua Paul-Bluteau Larabell, 43, of Waterloo, IL, died August 25, 2026, in Waterloo, IL. He was born June 29, 1983, in St. Louis, MO.
He is survived by his siblings Polly Welzbacher Scharling (Scott), Robert Welzbacher, Jr., (Bridgett Riley)Ben Welzbacher, Pam (Larabell) Vega, Donny Larabell, Mike Larabell. His best friend who was like a brother, Jon Falgier. He adored his nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Donald Vernon Larabell, his mother Deanna Darlene Welzbacher-Larabell, and his brother Russell “Rusty” Todd Larabell.
Josh went to Naples High School, where he was a football player and wrestler and went to state twice. He attended Missouri Valley College for a short time and later continued other college studies at Edison State College in Naples, FL. Josh worked at Hopskeller Brewing Company in Waterloo, IL and attended Truth Church in Waterloo, IL.
Josh liked to tell jokes, listen to jokes, and tell more jokes. He had a passion for creating culinary creations at work and at home. He was very passionate about family and was very nostalgic and loved to reminisce about the “Good Old Days.” He loved his family and friends, he was loyal and full of hope, and he always looked for the silver lining in every situation. Josh had a big heart and a kind soul.
Josh’s Big “Bear Hugs,” great big smile and the brightest blue eyes will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
