I met Karen through the Monroe County Genealogical Society, and shared family stories about Holy Cross Lutheran Church. My wife's great grandfather Carl Daniel Boehne was a member and settled in the area in 1851. Karen will be missed for her contributions to the Society and kindness to all of its members.

Karen - thank you for being such a wonderful friend to our family while we lived in Waterloo. Eli loved you being his godmother, Logan loved the sugar donuts you made for him on Sunday mornings after church, he was sad when he grew up and had to attend Sunday school instead of enjoying breakfast at your house. Eli still talks about beating Karen in board games, but Karen won her fair share of them and would not just let him win. They still talk about fishing at your house and playing with all the Thomas trains and going to the farm (where Logan claimed his rights. Lol) We will always treasure these memories. You are forever in our hearts and now you are with your heavenly Father and in peace. We love you and Ralph forever and always.
