Kevin C. Hirsch, 66, of Fults, IL, died June 28, 2025, in St. Louis, MO. He was born July 10, 1958, in Red Bud, IL.
He is survived by his wife Linda K. Hirsch (nee Markel); children Matthew Sullivan, Nick (Mandy) Sullivan, Jessica (Jeremy) Dressel, Jessie (Jon) Liefer, and Stephanie (Nate) Keller; grandchildren Landon, Lydia, Aithen, Wylin, Atleigh, Evan, Peyton, Wyatt, Millie, Jacqui, Kadie, and Jolene; mother Pearl L. Hirsch; brother and sisters Dean (Mary) Hirsch, Karen (Leroy) Roider, Kathleen (Philip) Horn, Karla (Ryan) Bulman; sister-in-law Sara Hirsch; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Adolph Hirsch and brother Allen Hirsch.
Kevin was a farmer and true cowboy. His professional career included 32 years in corrections, being promoted to Sergeant, and serving as Union President. He was also Deputy Coroner for Monroe County for 20 years.
In retirement, he answered God’s calling to serve as Pastor for St. John’s United Church of Christ in Evansville, Illinois.
He loved spending time with family, including his family in Utah.
Kevin was a bright light for the Lord and shared God’s word with all he encountered.
Kevin had many interests, although a few of his favorite past times were farming, driving his beautiful mules and carriages, deer hunting with his children, and as in his own words, loving his beautiful bride.
