Lisa F. Schmitz

Lisa F. Schmitz, nee Ahrens, 58, of Valmeyer, IL, died December 12, 2022, in Valmeyer, IL. She was born October 22, 1964, in Red Bud, IL.

    She is survived by her sons Chad (Melissa) Schmitz, Ethan Rowe-Brown, and Evan Rowe-Brown; daughters Robyn (Ryan) O'Daniell, Danielle (Ryan) Magouirk, and Mackenzie Rowe-Brown (Caleb Northam); grandsons Dylan Schmitz, Devin Schmitz,  Rayne O'Daniell, Ridge O'Daniell, Rhodes O'Daniell; granddaughters Ellie O'Daniell, Penelope Magouirk, Gretchen Magouirk, Rosalie Magouirk, and Magnolia Northam; parents Dwight and Cheryl Ahrens nee Droste; brother Nicholas Ahrens; nieces Amanda Ahrens and Samantha Ahrens; great niece  Makenna Grissom; great nephew Isaiah Thomas.

    She is preceded in death by her brother Duane Ahrens; & grandparents Albert & Wilma (Althoff) Droste, and Russell & Alice (Steinmann) Ahrens.

    Lisa was a retired federal employee where she worked as a management assistant for over 20 years.

            Lisa was a doting mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, watching sci-fi, romantic comedies and drama movies. She also loved her dogs like they were her children.
