Marla Jonee Ahne

Marla Jonee Ahne, nee Koch, 52, of Ballwin, MO, died July 18, 2026, in Richmond Heights, MO. She was born September 14, 1973, in St. Louis, MO.

Marla is survived by the love of her life Thomas Dollus, her parents John and Gail Koch, and Whitey and Arlene Leonard. Also surviving are her Aunt Gwen Niehaus, Uncle Terry Glotfelty, Aunt Jane Mertz, and Uncle Robert Koch; cousins: Russell (Lori) Walster, Rhett Walster, Andrea Tutor, Zelina (Brian) Welty, Derek (Bethany) Niehaus, Brad Glotfelty, and Shelly (Kevin) Hemker.

She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother-In-Law Thomas and Jeanette (Jan) Dollus, Sr., paternal grandparents Victor and Katherine Koch, and maternal grandparents Ardell and Pauline Niehaus.

She lived in Monroe County, Illinois much of her life, attending and graduating from Community Unit School, District #3 in Valmeyer, Illinois. She worked at Harrisonville Telephone Company, Waterloo, Illinois for several years. She moved to the St. Louis area and remained in the vicinity until her death July 18, 2026 at St. Mary Hospital, Clayton, Missouri.

Marla was Baptized into the Christian faith at St. Mary Catholic Church, Valmeyer, Illinois. She grew up in the Lutheran faith and received the Rite of Confirmation at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Columbia, Illinois.

Marla was truly passionate about animals, always looking after pets and critters with so much love and care. People will fondly recall her incredible talent in arts and crafts, bringing joy and creativity to everyone around her. She also had a real knack for cooking, delighting family and friends with delicious dishes and meals.
