I'm sorry I was not able to attend the visitation on Thursday evening because of a prior commitment. I wanted to express my sincere condolences to the family on Joe's homegoing. I was blessed to have known Joe for several years and was inspired by his faith and especially by his fight to live life to the fullest and to help others despite his health limitations. I know he is resting in Jesus' arms right now and receiving his reward as a good and faithful servant.

Debbie and sons,
I know you are missing Joey a lot and I just want to say he was a wonderful man and a true friend to my brother.
The times I remember most was when we were all quite young and out at his parents'
place on "the hill." I wish Billy could reminisce with you all about those days.
I remember it just being a great place with the lake; and I imagine the boys really took advantage of the places and things to do outside where I recall I usually spent time with Barbie if she was at home. Mary and Ray were there too but you know how kids are about adults.
Of course, as I grew up friendships change, but I know Joey and Bill kept their friendships in tact. I know he was one of the influences that got my brother to move back to this area and I am grateful for that.
Prayers and blessings to you and yours,
May Joey know peace with Christ.

Fisherman's Prayer-

I pray that I may live to fish
Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
And peacefully asleep
That in His mercy I be judged
Big enough to keep
