To Shirley's Family, Very sorry for your loss to your family. I knew Shirley through WHS and church (Evangelical & Reformed Church (now United Church of Christ--member 81 yrs.) We would see each other at school & church activities. Found out about this too late to get to the visitation. Know that you are not alone in this sorrow; He is with you and will comfort you. Our prayers and sympathies go out to you.
Sincerely, Nancy & Martin Oliver

I am so sad to hear of the passing of your mother. She and your dad became very special to our family when Russell was taking your dad to his appointments. I remember them sitting on their front porch in the evenings. We would drive by and ask if your dad wanted a shake. If I remember correctly it was strawberry. Sometimes your mom would get one also but most times she passed worried about her figure. I spoke to her several weeks ago when I was at Garden Place visiting my mom. She always had a smile and asked about my daughter., She will truly be missed. It pains me that I am unable to attend her visitation as I've recently had surgery. My prayers and hugs go out to your family. I believe she is sitting on a porch again with your dad and Russell having those shakes.

Shirley was my cousin and Wilbert and Shirley lived on Hickory St and Aunt Ardell Across the street. It was neat the family closeness . I Also remember Shirley and Wilberts Wedding One of the most fun I have had. I remember dancing to the song Honeycomb. Really I Do LOL. Shirley and Wilberts Love was definitely a love story. When he died she was devastated. But the love of her Daughter and Son and Grandkids and loving sister helped get her through. We Love you Shirley now you can RIP with Wilbert . Love Your Cousin Linda
