Steven Paul Buckhanan, 65, of Belleville, IL, died November 23, 2025, in Waterloo, IL. He was born June 4, 1960, in Poplar Bluff, MO.

He is survived by his daughters Jayme Martin (Samuel Pruett), Ashley Schank (Mike Pace), and Heather (Kevin) Luckeroth; grandchildren Liam, Katheryn, Evan, Cole, Noah, Olivia, & Isabella; Owen, Ian, Leo, & Alex; and Chase, Blake, Ellie, & Cooper; sisters and brother Vickie Anderson, Freeman "Butch" Buckhanan Jr., Patricia "Patti" Pursell, Barbara Stempel, Valerie Chavez, Beverly Buckhanan; aunt; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Freeman Eugene and Lola Jean (nee Gilchrist) Buckhanan, and brother Robert "Bobby" Chavez.

Steve's proudest accomplishments were his daughters and grandchildren. He was also a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He had over 24 years of service at Old Dominion Freight Line where he received numerous awards and certificates. He was the owner operator at Cut Above Lawn Care and Aces High Transport. Steve was also a life long Elvis fan.
