Steven W. Seidel

Steven W. Seidel, of Waterloo, IL, died peacefully at home after battling lung disease,February 21, 2020, in Waterloo IL, He was born October 13, 1958 in Red Bud, IL.

He is survived by his significant other Beth Clark; his son "The Legend" Dennis Seidel; daughter Tiffany Seidel (Joe Dubray); step daughter Ashley Clark (Danny Smith III); brothers Loren (Debbie) Seidel and David (Kim) Seidel; sister Dovie Larsen; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Loren  & Dorris J. (nee Himmaugh) Seidel.

Steve was a local music legend, hero to his kids and patient loving husband.

He would want you to save your money but if you feel obliged to make a memorial 
contribution they may be made to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

My sincere condolences to the entire family and extended families. My Mom, Malvena Mae (Belmer, ne Himmaugh was Stevie's Aunt, Dorris 's Sister) and Mom would send us from California to visit my relatives in Waterloo and Redbud Missouri and our relatives Granite City, Edwardsville, and Litchfield, Illinois during the summers when I was very young, before I turned 14...was the last time I remember visiting, then, briefly for Dorris's 50th birthday, which was also My Mom's 52nd birthday April 30...I remember when Stevie had fallen from a tree in his yard and a twig ran thru his ear...it happened before I visited one year...My love to all...Dovie, Scott, Loren, David, etal. God bless you all. Sorry for your loss...You are all lifted in my daily prayers...you always have been. Miss you all.

Steve and I played for years in Malcolm Bliss (with Chaz, Dave, Denny). I loved the great times we had. You will be missed my friend.

Steve was an awesome guy. Used to have a Memorial Day party in Chester every year and him and Rick would come play. They were Sofa King good. My condolences to the family and all Steves friends. And the name of the band is.........

I worked with Steve at the Waterloo Country Club in the early 80s. He was fun, friendly, and wise for his age. My sympathy to his family.
