Walter E. Rich, Jr.

Walter E. Rich Jr., 70, of Waterloo, IL, died April 20, 2022, in St. Louis, MO. He was born July 5, 1951, in St. Louis, MO.

    He is survived by his wife Pam Rich, nee Schatte; children Walter Rich III and Matthew (Elizabeth) Rich; grandchildren Payge (Jon) Kirkover, Nick Ulmer, and Zoe Rich; and great grandchild Mia Kirkover.

    Walter is preceded in death by his parents Walter E. & Shirley (nee Manihan) Rich Sr.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to:

    6 PM to 8 PM Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Quernheim Funeral Home

Pam, my heart is sadden for all of you with the passing of Walter. (I just found out today of his passing -5/02/22) I had the pleasure of working with him when he was hired as a city carrier at Dupo, Il. He was a very caring, hard working gentleman that lead his way up to becoming a becoming a Postmaster until his retirement. 🙏 💕

Pam I am so sorry for the loss of Walte. Just found out today (5/2:/22 & my heart is breaking for all of you. I had the pleasure of working with Walter at the Dupo, Il Post Office as a city carrier. I came to know all of your family thru him. He was a great, hard working gentleman & worked his way up to becoming a Postmaster. Was proud to have all of you in my life.

My sympathy to Pam and the family. I remember late night bowling at Cahokia bowl and card games. Walt was a great guy.

My sympathy to the Rich family. I was privileged to play bridge with Walter. He never criticized if a mistake was made and was always very jovial. He will be missed by many. Thank you, Matthew, for coming to Annbriar to let us know of his passing
