Wilbur B. Brinkmann

Wilbur B. Brinkmann, 88, of Waterloo, IL, died August 5, 2021, in Waterloo, IL. He was born August 27, 1932, in Waterloo, IL.


He is survived by his children Sherry (Paul) Dundon, Laura Blodgett, & Andy (Judy) Brinkmann; grandchildren Brandy (Jason) Scott, Derek (Rebecca) Dundon, Matthew & Lauren Blodgett, Catie Brinkmann, & Laura (Peter) Krenz; great-grandchildren Gavin Scott, Kiera & Ryker Dunon, & Osker Krenz; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, & cousins.


He is preceded in death by his wife Irma M. Brinkmann nee Butler; parents John and Catherine Brinkmann nee Korte; brothers Cletus "Cookie" Brinkmann and Paul Brinkmann Sr.; sister Esther Mehrtens; and son-in-law Dr. Jeffery Blodgett.


Wilbur was a member of SS Peter & Paul Church - Waterloo, United Steelworkers Local 11-6 - St. Louis, MO.


As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to:
Masses, SS Peter & Paul School, Hospice of Southern Illinois

Sorry to hear of the passing of Wilbur. We sometimes sat together at mass - the days before the pandemic. He was always kind to me.

Sorry for your loss. I always saw him mowing his lawn when I passed his house. He was a friendly man . May God give you all peace and comfort during this time of sorrow !

Sorry to hear of Wilbur's death. Irma was a classmate of ours and we got to know Wilbur through many social gatherings.
