Zachary Z. Laub

Zachary Z. Laub, 38, of Columbia, IL, died July 28, 2026, in Belleville, IL. He was born September 29, 1987, in St. Louis, MO.

Zach enjoyed bowling and Xtreme Bar Bingo. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and St. Louis Blues hockey. He also had a passion for preparing homemade meals and could often be found grilling steaks or smash burgers for the people he loved.

Zach deeply loved his dogs, Rocky, Izzy, and Kelani, and considered them part of the family. His infectious smile, unmistakable laughter, and one-of-a-kind sense of humor brought warmth to every gathering. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

He is survived by his mother, Katherine Laub; his sister, Jessica Laub; and his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Zach was preceded in death by his father, Ron Laub; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Mildred Laub; and his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Evelyn Zwicker.

Memorials may be made to Helping Strays of Monroe County.
