James M. Carpenter

Obituary

James M. Carpenter, 85, of Waterloo, IL, died February 14, 2021, in St. Louis, MO. He was born September 6, 1935, in Madison, WV.

He is survived by his wife Wanda Carpenter (nee Hutchison); daughter Lisa (Dan) Johnson; grandsons Parker Johnson, and Davis Johnson; stepson Aaron (Colleen) Runge; grandchildren Avery, Aden, and Piper Runge; and niece Laura (Tom) Mann.

James is preceded in death by his parents Clay and Florence (nee Sovine) Carpenter and sister Kathryn Coyner.

He was a member of the Christian Faith, coach, teacher, principal, superintendent of schools, regional superintendent of schools, and numerous organizations.
